On October 14, 2021, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech via video link at the opening ceremony of the Second United Nations Global Sustainable Transport Conference with the theme of “Staying Connected with the World and Abreast with the Times, And Making Big Strides on the Path of Sustainable Development”.
This transportation Conference is hosted by the United Nations and co-organized by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government. Since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic , it is one of the few international conference in China that has the participation of foreign guests. About 2000 people attended the conference. The CNCC provides live broadcasts of the opening ceremony,and provides other caring services such as conference, exhibition and display services, catering services, etc. for plenary meetings, theme meetings, ministerial forums, scientific and technological innovation forums, entrepreneur forums, and closing ceremonies ,China National Convention Center Grand Hotel, which located just nearby also provides attendees and staffs with accommodation and catering services.
