Go for Green! CNCC Celebrated the 7th Family Day
The 7th Family Day celebration is successfully held in China National Convention Center in the morning of September 21,2019. Themed with “Small Hands in Big Hands to promote garbage sorting”, hundreds of staffs and their families were attracted to engaged in the event. Ms. Yi Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive General Manager of CNCC, and Ms. Sun Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee came to the site and interacted with staffs and their families. The knowledge of environmental protection and garbage sorting were popularized in activities. The big family had a good time in the morning.
A series of game sessions were planned to make the activity more exciting and interesting. The Power Point showed the types of domestic waste, the utilization value of recyclable waste, the harm of toxic waste and the correct way of garbage sorting. Small games were introduced, and prizes were provided to encourage the public to learn how to sort garbage and develop a good habit of garbage sorting. The session of DIY vase was also very popular among children. Choosing discarded glass bottles or plastic bottles, and safe, non-toxic ultra-light clay as material to color the bottle with the clay, thus, a DIY vase was completed. It can be taken home for flower arrangement. On one hand, it decorated and added green to their home. On the other hand, the children's hands-on ability is enhanced. The seeds of waste utilization, green and environmental protection were planted in the hearts of the children.
To ensure the success of the activity, tea break area was set for having a break, and small medical medicine boxes, hand sanitizers, wet tissues and other supplies were also prepared.
In the speech of Ms. Yi Lei she expressed the hope that communication between staffs and their families will be strengthened, and green healthy and harmonious corporate atmosphere will be created through the activities. On behalf of the management officials of China National Convention Center, she also extended thanks to the understanding and supporting of the staffs and their families. After the activity, handwritten newspapers full of warmth and creative DIY vase works were presented in front of everyone. the 7
th Family Day celebration also came to an end with laughter. It deepened emotions and connections among the families through this event. Many of them said that they were looking forward to the next event and hoped that they could come again if they had the opportunity.
